It has been a few days since I have blogged. It was a very longgg week. I had a lot of errands to run and things to do. I took my workouts lightly this week because of my 5K tomorrow. However this happened:
Holllllla! 😀 I really don’t care how fast I go it’s all about distance for me and the accomplishment of being able to run far. However when I know I am going for a short run I guess I just go faster?!
Last night I went out to dinner with some friends in a town nearby where I live and it was so fun and different. I forgot to snap a pic of my dinner but it was delish! Free-range chicken with some gorgonzola and carrots and other root vegetables. I thought it was going to be more cheesy and gravy like but when I got it, it was a lot more healthier than I had imagined- which was awesome to me!! Delicious dinner with some red vino (I know, I know I always complain about drinking, but it just went so great with dinner).
After that this happened:
We went to a really fun bar for another drink- this is chocolate peanut butter beer. I told the waiter that they should serve it was a little Reeses Peanut Butter cup for garnish. This was a great beer. Not too heavy and you could taste the peanut and chocolate notes. One of my fav combos ever so this may be my new favorite beer ever. I’m going to have to see if I can pick it up somewhere to have on hand!
Aside from this awesome beer the bar had fun games like Connect 4 and Jenga:
So much fun!! It was an unplanned night that turned out to be totally awesome!
Today I am hoping to head to Road Runners to get fitted in some new sneaks for my 10K in December. I also want to see if I can get some Fall/Cold Weather running clothes. I’m not going to work out today- just take it easy so I can be ready for my 5K tomorrow. I am so excited for it- we got really cute pink shirts and pink bracelets. So fun and all for a great cause!
Ohhh one more thing, I put my name in the raffle for the NYC Half Marathon! I really hope I get it, I think I find out in December. If not, I will definitely be looking for find a half somewhere in the Spring. That is definitely my next goal and I can’t wait to begin training for it.!
