Happy WIAW everyone! Hope you are all enjoying this week! Here is a recap of what I have been eating lately!
I won ANOTHER giveaway, this time from Hungry Runner! (I seriously need to play the lottery). This was a package of goodies from The Feed.com. There were a bunch of fun snacks, protein powder and some running fuel (I had to give the running gummies away to a friend because they were berry flavored). I will be sure to update you as I try it all! I did have the fruit punch Nuun on my run this weekend and it was an awesome flavor!
ALL THE VEGGIES: 😉
After my 15 miler on Saturday I decided to treat myself to an overpriced lunch at Whole Foods in Columbus Circle- yes $18 including a bottle of water. UGH. But after a long run food just tastes SO good. I’m not really sure what is all in there, a bunch of side salads, some plantains, shredded chicken, veggies, a grape leaf, a grilled pineapple slice and a really delicious avocado dressing that I need to purchase asap.
My meal this week: Trader Joe’s Chicken Apple Sausage (I bought two cases so I could have two sausages, one is just not enough for a dinner portion), an onion, mushrooms, peppers (I buy the TJ’s frozen peppers- way cheaper than fresh), an apple, and a bunch of sweet potatoes.
I also roasted broccoli, carrots and brussel sprouts along with my butternut squash, eggs, salads and sweet potatoes for the week!
After all my meal prep I headed to my parent’s house for the night because I had to be up for a Pancreatic Cancer walk early Sunday morning. My dad and I ordered some yummy Mexican food (poor Mommy had a bad toothache).
Whole-wheat wrap, cheese, pulled chicken, tomato and spinach quesadilla with guac, salsa & sour cream. I also made some kale & raisin salad on the side. Very yummy dinner for a very HANGRY runner!
I needed to cap the night off with something sweet so I found frozen yogurt in my parent’s freezer, added a banana and peanut butter. Voila- yummy dessert!
Here was a yummy lunch from Sunday:
Kale, tomato and parmesan cheese omelet with a sweet potato and peanut butter on the side.
Since my mom still wasn’t feeling 100% and I was still at my parents, my Dad and I ordered Greek Food. A big ol’ Greek Salad with grilled chicken and hummus and pita on the side! So delicious!
I tried Janae’s suggestion of cottage cheese and grapes, delicious- thank you!!
And of course to embrace the Fall theme:
Coconut Arctic Zero, Pumpkin, Cinnamon and a Speculoos Cookie!
And that is a round up of what I have been eating this week! Be sure to check out everyone else’s posts from WIAW!
