WIAW: The week before Turkey Day Eats!

Happy WIAW readers! Thanks again to Jenn for hosting the weekly link-up! I hope you are all gearing up for the big day around here! I will be sure to do a Thanksgiving Meal Post to share all the great recipes I have been cooking up this week for the big day! Until then here are my eats before the big holiday!


 Remember the chocolate-banana-peanut butter overnight oats? Well I did the exact same thing except I made a smoothie! YUM-O!!


I topped them with the chocolate quinoa granola that my friend gave me, which was delicious, however after I ate it I realized there was dried blueberries (allergic) in them, aka a little numb lip action going on. So I can’t enjoy that anymore…. 😦

Post Long Run with the Crew brunch at Hoboken Bar and Grill:


Broccoli, Spinach, and Mozz Omelet with Sweet Potato Fries

Pumpkin Coffee- must eat/drink all the pumpkin things before the season ends!



 Kale/Raisin Salad, Carrots, a sweet potato with PB, and tuna mixed with hummus on the side- yes, random. 🙂


A taste of my Dad’s pumpkin soup:


At my friend’s 30th birthday party: slider, spin dip & tortilla chips, and veggies (went two rounds on this plate 🙂 )


One of my student’s parents purchased a Panera lunch for all his teachers!! It was so kind of them! I got the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad and it came with a multi-grain roll and a delicious giant chocolate chip cookie!

 Went out to dinner with my family for Sunday Night Dinner and I went for the “Early Bird Special” haha I’m such a grandma- but it’s a good deal, salad, entrée & dessert for $18!



Entrée- Penne with Grilled Chicken, Spinach, and a Vodka Sauce:

Since I am spending Thanksgiving week at my parent’s house I offered to do some meal prep to make everyone’s lives easier!

Here is the whole haul:


Baked Chicken with Celery & Carrots, with TJs Brown Rice Medley and Roasted Veggies on the side:

Italian Chicken Sausage, Peppers, Potatoes, and Onions:



Vanilla Maple Arctic Zero, Frozen Strawberries, Almond Butter and some Kashi Go Lean Crunch:


Now that it’s getting cold, my desire for ice cream tends to dwindle more (so sad), so I decided to buy some rice cakes for a different snack:


Honeydew and two rice cakes with peanut butter and chocolate chips on top- delicious!!

At my parent’s house they keep Cookie Butter in the pantry…. SCORE!


Cake from the 30th Birthday (I had a total moment with this cake), I’m not a huge cake person because it’s always so sweet but the cake from this place is never too sweet just perfect:


Oreo and chocolate fudge cake- literally had a moment. So. Good.

Tiramisu- from my early bird special meal, mmmm sooo good:

  1. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving! I just tried Arctic Zero and I decided that I think I like it! I mean, I covered it with whipped cream, chocolate chips and peanut butter but it does serve it’s purpose as well as frozen yogurt, right?
