I love how I am recapping the Super Bowl like it’s a race recap. I don’t care about football but I do care about food. Isn’t that what the Super Bowl is all about anyway? 🙂
SO here is a recap of all the food I cooked for me and my parents. Yes, there was only 3 of us, but what is the saying when two or more or gathered it’s a party? haha
4 ripe avocados, two tomatoes, fresh lemon juice, half of a half of a red onion, salt and pepper. Chop and mash it all up!
Olive Oil, Fresh Lemon Juice, Two Cans of chick peas, a can of cannellini beans, Tahini Sauce from TJs, salt and pepper. Blend it all together in a food processor!
Served with cucumbers and carrots, Stacy’s Multigrain Pita Chips and Scoops.
BBQ Chicken Pizza:
Dough, gouda cheese, Sweet Baby Rae’s, Caramelized Onions, Mozzarella, and TJs Grilled Chicken (unpictured).
Black and White Cookies:
Recipe from here.
Just a heads up the recipe says to scoop 1/4 cup of dough out (which makes the cookies big like the real bakery ones). I did double the recipe and made a few of the big ones but then decided to just use a regular spoon.
The finished product!! (Rocked my Run of Champions 5k Shirt for the occasion haha)
Phew! What a long day of cooking (after a long run). These recipes may not be “healthy” to some people because I didn’t switch out ingredients for the ingredients but to me, I know exactly what was put in all of my food. To me, that is healthy! Putting homemade food into your body that was made with love is healthy! 🙂
How was your Super Bowl?
