Monday Musings: Planks, CPR, and Pizza

Happy Monday everyone! As I mentioned I am off this week so I am going to take advantage of some mid-week, not pre-written blogging for a chance 🙂 Wish I could do this all the time!

Grilling Season commenced last night at my parent’s house. Grilled Veggies, Corn on the cob and grilled chicken. My FAVORITE grilled meal, all summer long!

I also had this amazing Greek Yogurt, Banana, Strawberry and Granola from the Diner with my friend yesterday. It needs to be replicated asap. I honestly think they used one of those Hidden Nature Valley Oat Granola Bars, the kind that has two in the pack and then of course up-charged for it. They actually gave them out at the 5k on Saturday and I saved mine, so this breakfast is being repeated this week. 🙂

This morning I decided to try out a NYSC that is a little bit closer to my parent’s house. It was so nice, very clean, and pretty quiet. I took a workout from the back of my fav workout book to change things up. It was a circuit style that worked your whole body.

After that I came home and enjoyed my Green Smoothie. I made one last week and now I’m kinda obsessed.

There is something about getting greens and fruits in right in the AM.

I then sat is CPR/AED/First Aid Training for the most of the day. I was actually really happy that it was so rainy today because I was stuck inside anyway!

After that I ran some errands. I went to the dollar store to buy cleaning products for the spring cleaning that will commence this week, such a great tip, why pay for expensive cleaning products at a grocery or drug store when you can get them for cheap at the dollar store.

I also hit up Barnes and Noble because I still have gift cards (woot for being a teacher!) and I bought Jen DeCurtins‘ Book: Ultimate Plank Fitness!

I can’t wait to try out some of these great core exercises!

After that I came home and got to cooking some yummy pizza for me and the parents!

I sauteed 3 peppers and a whole onion, we bought crusts, sauce, grilled chicken and this amazing Quattro Formaggio cheese mix from Trader Joes, I literally was eating it out of the bag. It is a mix of asiago, fontina, parmesan, and provelone.

How good does that slice look haha I of course had a second. (On the side is kale and roasted veggies).

That was my Monday! Tomorrow I am spinning in the AM, FINALLY going to the doctor to see what is going on with this ankle and grabbing lunch with a friend.

I will be sure to update about the ankle as soon as I know more!
