WIAW: Day Off Eats!

Happy WIAW everyone!

WHAT-I-ATE-WEDNESDAY-NEW-BUTTON-PEAS-AND-CRAYONS

 

I have been enjoying my week off! Getting in morning workouts and enjoying different meals (at home and out)! Since I didn’t do a full meal prep this week since my schedule is more up in the air, I thought it would be fun to check out what a day during my Spring Break looks like!

Pre-workout:

I always start my morning with a cup of coffee and water!

After that I had a pre-workout snack:

A sliced apple, Ezekial Toast with almond butter and jelly. I’m not sure why but I have not been super into having Quest Bars lately. My body is wanting more carbs before a workout so I am rolling with it. Although I do have two full boxes of Quest bars so they are not out of my life completely because they are not going to waste.

Breakfast:

After my super sweaty morning spin class (I love morning workouts so much) I came home and made a Green smoothie because that was what I was craving:

Spinach, banana, strawberries, rolled oats, chia seeds and Greek yogurt. When I am off it is so nice to be able to listen to what I want rather than having some quick or pre-prepped. Don’t get me wrong, meal prep saves my life and I love it, however from time to time I love the variety and spontaneity!

Lunch:

Later on I met up with a friend for lunch at Whole Foods:

A bunch of fun veggies, chicken, potatoes, and random goodness with an avocado dressing over it. Whole Foods salad bar is amazing, just way too expensive. I also got a Poland Spring Lemon Sparkling water and it was delicious and refreshing, I definitely need to buy them!

Dinner:

Like I said, I just prepped some ingredients but no full meals. So I threw this together, Kale sauteed with cinnamon and raisins, brussel sprouts, roasted eggplant, and left over grilled chicken. I had a slice of toasted Ezekial bread and later decided to add some sliced avocado on it. Random but delicious!

Dessert:

Nature’s Candy: Sliced Strawberries and two Dates with coconut peanut butter
