WIAW: Spin, Smoothies, Babies and Pizza, Oh My!

Happy WIAW everyone!

WHAT-I-ATE-WEDNESDAY-NEW-BUTTON-PEAS-AND-CRAYONS

 

Today I am sharing all the delicious food that I enjoyed on my super busy and fun filled Saturday!!

Pre-workout Fuel:

Ezekial Toast, almond butter & jelly, apple slices and lots of water and coffee on the side.

Then I enjoyed a fun filled Body Pump and very sweaty Spin class!

In between the classes I re-fueled with:

Breakfast:

Since I had to head home quickly and shower and get ready for a Baby Shower I brought my smoothie with me to enjoy on my walk home.

Spinach, Fage Greek Yogurt, a banana, strawberries, pineapple, chia seeds and steel cut oats. FYI- drinking a big smoothie and walking sometimes can cause stomach cramping, especially when you are in a rush. πŸ˜‰

Lunch:

I then headed to my friend’s Baby Shower!

First Plate:

Salad, fruit salad, eggs benedict, potatoes and a breakfast sausage.

Second Plate:

Salad, cooked veggies, fruit salad, penne with vodka sauce and lemon chicken.

Dessert:

A really yummy and pretty cannoli cake!

Dinner:

Later that night after an afternoon of food shopping and meal prep I headed back down to Hoboken for a fun night out with my sister!

We went to this yummy artisan pizza place in town called Dozzino.

We first had salads:

Then split two pizzas:

The top pizza is a honey, mascarpone and proscuitto pizza and the bottom is a spinach and artichoke pizza. It is just SO delicious!

Dessert:

We ordered their dessert but they ended up running out of it so the waiter gave this to us on the house. It was a ricotta, honey crostini. Eh, not the best thing to end the night, would have loved something with chocolate, but it was on the house so we still ate it!

What a BUSY and food filled Saturday! I went from a fun and crazy morning of workouts to a baby shower to night on the town in Hoboken! It was a really fun day!!

  1. Love pizza! I’m a veggie lover, so my perfect pizza is broccoli, green pepper, onion, sun dried tomatoes! Best thing I ate had to be my homemade date balls : ) Happy Wednesday!!
