I am running a Marathon in two weeks. TWO WEEKS?!!!!!
It is taper time!! I am not anxious or worried about losing fitness or gaining weight. I am recovering! Our bodies need to rest and recover so we can continue to push during those hard workouts and get those PRs. 3 weeks to recover from 15 weeks of training is feeling great!
3 Mile Run + Subbed a class in Hoboken. The group really loved my playlist and I got some great feedback!
4 Mile Run- Absolutely gorgeous Fall weather. I am finally putting all the short sleeved race shirts to use. In the summer I have to wear a tank top, but in the Fall I can wear short sleeves.
PT Work at the Gym + Taught my regular class at 23rd and 8th. It was Breast Cancer Awareness day at NYSC so we had everyone wear pink! I was inspired and made a really fun “pink” themed playlist with songs by Pink, Pink Floyd, and other empowering songs. Even some Respect by Aretha Franklin!
5 Mile Run in the gorgeous weather
I wanted to take Melissa’s cycling class but it was filled 😦 I can no longer sign up for classes because I’m an employee at NYSC. So I made it a rest day and went car shopping with my sister. She is proud owner of a white Toyota Carolla! So proud of my baby sister to go after something she wanted! Buying a car is a huge deal!! Congrats Ally- love ya!!
12 Miles in the crisp, chilly Fall weather. I kept my ear warmers on the whole time and having long sleeves was great. I do think that I will wear a tank and arm warmers for the Marathon even if the weather was like this run.
I also tested out my new royal blue compression socks! They had a deal for 50% off and I want to wear a blue tank for the marathon so these were perfect!
Another rest day!
